124 Cheltenham Road
LoveBristol has nearly acquired a building of Stokes Croft / Cheltenham Road in the St. Pauls / Montpelier area across from the new Jesters and in-between bar one30 and TAO Bar. The team is in the process of distilling the vision down to a few great ideas. Some of the things we’re thinking about at the moment are:
- Free Clothes Shop
- Cafe
- Recording Studios
- Photography Studios
- Design Studios
- Band Practice Rooms
- Art Gallery
- Prayer Room
These are just a few of many, but we hope to be a positive presence in the area to support spirituality, art, community projects, community renewal and preservation, and probably some more art! If you’ve got an idea for this new building, or like one mentioned above and want to get involved, head over to our contact page and shoot us an email.
Past
The LoveBristol Mini-mall / April - May 2006
The LoveBristol Mini-Mall blessed hundreds of people over the 2 month period it ran. What was it I hear you ask? Essentially it was a free clothes shop! Yes, FREE, as in everything on the shelf could have belonged to you if you had plucked up enough courage to pick it up and take it home! The only rules were that you could only take home 3 items per visit, and you had to be offered a free coffee by the friendly staff!
By the end of the 2 months, the Mini-Mall had functioned as a free clothes shop, it had held poetry reading nights, music events, evening meetings for coffee, prayer and all sorts of other community based events.
